How clear aligners work.
We scan your teeth digitally and design the full sequence of movements on screen — so you can see the projected result before you start. A series of clear, removable aligners then moves your teeth a fraction of a millimetre at a time, each set worn for one to two weeks.
They come out to eat and to brush, which is why hygiene is easier than with fixed braces and why nothing is off the menu. The trade-off is discipline: aligners only work while they are in, and 20 to 22 hours a day is the target.

Not sharply. Each new set feels tight and slightly achy for a day or two — that pressure is the treatment working. Most patients switch to a new set in the evening so the first night does the settling.
Simple cases can finish in around six months. Most run twelve to eighteen. Your consultation and digital simulation will give you a specific estimate for your case, not an average.
Rarely, at conversational distance. Small tooth-colored attachments are sometimes bonded to teeth to help specific movements, and those are the most visible part — still far less noticeable than brackets and wire.
Call us. Usually you go back to the previous set while a replacement is made. Do not simply skip ahead to the next one — the sequence matters.
Yes, and this is the part people underestimate. Teeth drift back without retention. We will fit retainers at the end of treatment and tell you honestly how much wear they need long term.
