What to expect
Your first visit, honestly described.
About an hour, most of it spent looking and listening rather than drilling.
- A comprehensive exam. Teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints and a soft-tissue cancer screening.
- Digital X-rays as needed. Low dose, instant, and shown to you on screen.
- A cleaning if time allows. If your gums need something more than a standard cleaning, we will say so.
- A conversation about your goals. What is bothering you matters more than what is technically possible.
- A written plan. Priorities, sequence and cost — before you agree to anything.

Plan on about an hour. That covers a comprehensive exam, digital X-rays as needed and a cleaning if time allows — plus time to talk through what Dr. Phillips found.
A photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications you take. If you have recent X-rays from another practice, ask them to send those over and we may not need to retake them.
Usually yes, if time allows. If the exam shows gum disease, a standard cleaning is not the right treatment and we will explain what is — rather than doing a cleaning that will not help.
We see families and will do our best to schedule visits back to back. Call us and we will arrange it rather than you booking each one separately online.
